Pregnancy and Child Care

Just like all the first time mothers I am a bit apprehensive about the labour and taking care of the new born. To tell you the truth I have never held a new born (of family or friends), afraid that I will hurt them. Now that I have to do it all alone, gets me goose pimples. I know many of you would also share the same experience and would like to know what to do. To put my fears at ease, I searched on the net for information and I got loads of it. I am sure it will help you too. So here are some videos you can sit back and enjoy. The videos give loads of information about your pregnancy, development of your baby, labor & delivery and taking care of the new born.

11th week – Baby moving in the womb

We had our 4th visit to the doctor. This is my 11th week of pregnancy. The ultrasound was done and we saw our lil angel sleeping. Doctor told us that baby’s sleep and wake up every 20 mins in the womb. Might have got tired running about with me to reach the hospital all the way from office.;) And then suddenly the baby moved. Whoops!! That was the first time we saw our baby moving in the womb, with cute lil butterfly kicks. The doctor informed us that the baby's liver is now producing red blood cells and all his vital organs are growing and developing. Little teeth continue to form beneath the baby's gums and his bones are beginning to harden. He/She now has separate fingers and toes and can even move them! At this stage he may even be able to make a fist. His heart is also beating very fast, approximately double the rate of mum's and can be seen on ultrasound. Hair and nails are growing and genitals begin forming, although as yet the baby's sex cannot be determined on ultrasound.
